Team Spotlight - Meet Louise Wanstall

Louise Wanstall and her family

1. When did you join the team and how did you find out about the role?

I joined the team in October 2023. An old friend from school was doing some consultancy work for Jeremy at the time and told him, “You need a Lou Lou.” I wasn’t entirely sure what that meant… but I turned up, and I’ve been here ever since.

2. Can you describe your role and the primary responsibilities you handle?

My role is wonderfully varied. I spend a lot of time working with Fidelity, supporting the team, and speaking directly with clients. I genuinely love picking up the phone and having a chat; it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my day.

3. What’s a typical day like for you?

My day starts at 8:00am, checking for any messages or updates from clients that may have come in overnight. Then it’s time to get my morning cup of tea ready for our 9:30am Zoom call with the girls (Zoe, Sarah, Louise M & Emma). One of my favourite 30 minutes of the day. It’s a lovely daily check-in that keeps us all connected.

4. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Without a doubt, the most rewarding part of my job is chatting with our clients. I’ve always loved the TCFP ethos of "know your client" — it’s not just something we say, it’s how we work. That personal connection, taking the time to understand each client and what matters to them, is a big part of what makes this job so special to me.

5. What do you appreciate most about working with your current team?

Our team is truly special. We are all so different, yet we work together brilliantly. You may have read this in other TCFP Spotlight newsletters, but it’s absolutely true: we are genuinely unique. There’s so much love, mutual care, and support — it shines through every single day here at Town Close.

6. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

If I could have any superpower, I’d choose the ability to heal. I love helping others feel better, physically or emotionally. Being able to make that kind of difference would be so amazing.

7. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.” It’s something I live by every day. Kindness all the way.

8. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Asian cuisine — Thai, sushi, the whole lot! I absolutely love it all.

9. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, especially in my 20s when I had my backpack and a carefree spirit. But I never made it to South America, and I’d really love to explore that part of the world.
Also, my dream is to be a contestant on Race Around the World. One day……

10. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you want to have with you?

First — a boat (because I’m definitely not planning on staying stranded!).
Second – my Bestie (and my hubby and kids but I’m getting carried away now)
Third — champagne. You’ve got to keep the spirits up
