1. When did you join the team and how did you find out about the role?

I joined TCFP in June. It all started when Suzan asked me a technical question - one thing led to another, and a few emails later I was signing my contract. From day one, I could tell this would be a very different experience from anything I’d done before. The team has been incredibly welcoming, professional and genuinely friendly.

My role brings out the best in me; it lets me use the skills I already have while pushing me to learn, grow and challenge myself.

2. Can you describe your role and the primary responsibilities you handle?

I manage the website, newsletters, and anything related to video production, editing and graphic design. I’m also the go-to person for technical and IT-related queries from the team.

3. What’s a typical day like for you?

My day usually starts around 7:30am - while getting my kids ready for school, I check emails to see if there’s anything urgent. Once the pressing tasks are handled, I move through my list of ongoing projects.

I often work on a few things at once; stepping away from a project can give me the space to make it even better. Of course, some days require a reshuffle when urgent requests come through, but that keeps things interesting!

4. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Feeling trusted and seen.

When the team gives me a complex task with full confidence that I’ll figure it out - even if I don’t initially know how - it pushes me to dig deep, research and stretch myself. I love meeting (and hopefully exceeding!) expectations. I’m also learning so much from the incredible team at TCFP, and I’m truly grateful for that.

5. What do you appreciate most about working with your current team?

The friendliness, the professionalism, the humour, the knowledge, the support… I could go on forever. It’s a genuinely uplifting environment.

6. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Mind-reading! I love creating tools that make people’s work easier and faster, but often people don’t realise what could be streamlined or automated.

If I could understand their unspoken needs, I’d build apps and tools they’d find incredibly useful - perhaps even before they knew they wanted them.

7. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“Do your best, and don’t be afraid of the outcome.”

8. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Thai curry... The flavours, the spices, the coconut milk… it’s heaven on a plate!

9. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Egypt. The beaches in Hurghada are serene, warm and stunning. I could happily spend a lifetime of daytimes by the sea and never get bored.

10. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you want to have with you?

My laptop, my kids (there are two, but let’s count them as one!), and an internet connection. With those, I could keep them entertained, enjoy nature - and maybe even finish all the tasks I keep saying I’ll get to “one day.”
