What Wealth Means to Me at 53 - Jeremy's Musings

At 53, with two boys under 10, my idea of wealth has changed.

It’s not about chasing more anymore. I’ve had the busy career, the long hours, the ambition dial turned up high. That season built a lot - but it also taught me something important.

Wealth, for me now, is time.

Time for breakfast chaos. Time for bedtime stories. Time for slow walks that take forever because someone found a stick.

It’s not about the size of the portfolio. It’s about the space to be present - really present - with the people who matter most.

Wealth is also knowing we’re okay. That if the unexpected comes along, we’ve got resilience built in. That my boys will be alright, whatever happens.

I still care about money. But I care more about what it enables. Calm. Confidence. The freedom to focus on what matters and let go of what doesn’t.

That’s the kind of wealth I talk to my clients about. And more and more, it’s the kind I’m trying to live.
